Idaho Springs: Saratoga of the Rockies a History of Idaho Springs, Colorado by Ethel Morrow Gillette. Vantage Press, New York, 1978. Hardcover. First edition stated, DJ. Author Signed Copy. A full length history of Idaho Springs Colorado. It started as a gold mining town in 1859. It was never the biggest, richest, or wildest, but it was the town that refused to become a ghost town. Includes stories of the early pioneers, the prospectors, railroad men, and the construction men. There is a nice section of vintage BW photographs. 219 pages. Signed by the author on the FFEP. Book has some very mild edge wear. Clipped DJ has edge wear and small tears.
