iCarly is a show by Nickeloden which follows the zany antics of main character Carly (Miranda Cosgrove), Sam (Jennette McCurdy), Freddie (Nathan Kress), and Spencer (Jerry Trainor). Carly is a 13 year old girl living with her 26 year old brother whom has left school to become a lawyer in order to pursue his dream of becoming an artist. Carly teams up with best friend Sam as well as her other friend Freddie (who lives across the hall) to create a webshow. The webshow is about anything they want, and whatever they want. Giving them the freedom to express themselves however the feel without the intervention of adults. They cover many topics including kids with "bizzaro talents" (such as playing the trumpet while on a pogo stick), How to hatch baby chicks (and track them down when the escape from the incubator), Live music, the mean security guard in the lobby, and many more items. Carly and Sam get along well, Freddie is in love with Carly and Carly doesn't like him like that (which he says himself he is ok with). Sam and Freddie argue alot which can be very entertaining. Spencer gets along with everyone and is always supporting Carly in her work to make the best webshow ever. More then the webshow, iCarly deals with many issues that are relevent to the target age group. Including emotions of dealing with opposite sexes (Done very tastefully without any awkwardness), Bullies, when friends fight. iCarly creates memberable characters that you just love to love. My daughter is 6 years old and she LOVES iCarly, I must say that I do love it too. I'm a young dad who is still shocked by how "girly" little girls can be and was worried when I heard about iCarly (because some of these shows with girl characters set in a school setting frighten me to death. However I'm pleased to report iCarly is not one of them. I highly recommend it. It is a lot of fun. (I've also heard from co-workers that it does appeal to young boys as well)Read full review

We (my wife and I) purchased this DVD for our son (he's 10) and our daughter (she's 5). We are VERY pleased with this content of the iCarly show. There are very few television collections that are made today that we can say this about. With few exceptions the content is very kid-friendly. If you're looking for entertainment that's truly FUN then we recommend iCarly. Again, as with all shows, we highly suggest that you watch iCarly with your children to discuss some of the attitudes you'll find portrayed on the show (you'll certainly have a chance to talk with your kids about what is and isn't acceptable).
