This is a vintage out of production IHC Louisville and Nashville Railroad (LN) Light Weight Streamlined 1930s Style Passenger Car Baggage Car with four wheel trucks. Condition:
The model is in very good condition except for some rub marks on one side. Rub marks are commonplace and occur when the model rubs against its plastic holder. You can spray the model to a uniform sheen, or weather it.
The model is unused; it was owned by a collector who displayed it and did not run it.
I note no broken, damaged, or missing parts. All couplers, trucks, and wheels are present. The box is in like new condition. The cellophane and the plastic model holder are intact. Comment:
This would make a nice addition to your Louisville and Nashville Railroad collection or layout. IHC has out of business. Vintage IHC products are now becoming collectibles. I describe all vintage models as used or as new old stock, never as new, as best as I am able. My ratings tend to be conservative and I never say 'mint' (because it is overused) and rarely say 'rare'; if I miss something, I will make it right.
All vintage IHC models that exist today all there ever will be and comes from old dealer stock and collectors' hands. It is becoming harder and harder to find these out of production models.We keep our models in an above-ground, conditioned, smoke-free, and pet-free room. Vintage models may have been stored anywhere before I acquired them. This model is out of production and no longer available from the maker. All that ever will be of this model are in the hands of dealers as old stock or in the hands of collectors. It becomes more and more difficult to find these models as time goes on. Be sure to get one while you still can, if you want one, or even think you will want one.For ages 12 and up. |
