If you are a big fan of the progressive rock band, YES, this cd (and separate DVD) is for you! The concert covers many of their classic songs, and is a good addition to one's collection. However, they usually play a longer set, and this single-disc recording was probably cut down for marketing purposes. Equally, as YES has not been an airplay monster since the mid-80's, this cd probably is not for everyone. Most people buying YES albums these days are their long-time fans. So, if you happen to be one (like me), I suggest you give this a spin!
Absolutely, incredible show with great sound quality. The double cd set includes old time standards like Yours is No Disgrace and Roundabout. Howe is absolutely blazes on Yours is No Disgrace. House of Yes also introduces some of the band's new material. In particular, Homeworld is my favorite, but Lightening Strikes and The Messenger are equally good. The most surprising song on the album though, is the rendition of Owner of a Lonely Heart. Billy Sherwood played the lead on this classic and really delivers a great performance. If you like Yes, then I highly recommend this live album. Likewise if you are looking to get some Yes, this is a great live album to start off the collection.
A very high sound quality recording. If you are a YES fan you will want to add this to your collection, the track list contains some newer songs, and many tracks already on other live YES albums, but the quality of this recording is amazing. As usual Steve Howe & Alan White do not disappoint!
