I don't know who this Hank Haney guy is but I don't think heknows very much about the golf swing. He has some extremely strange ideas that I just didn't understand. He wanted me to place the ball on my inside left heel. Well first off I'm left handed and I can't get the club even low enough to hit the ball clear in the back of my stance with a driver. Also I was afraid I might hit my foot if I put the ball by my heel I mean how can you not hit your foot. I don't get this guy.

I've been a student of the game and the golf swing for the better part of 10 years. I used Hank's book to adjust some things I have been doing right and wrong. It has been very helpful and will continue to be referenced for the next 10 years now that I have it in my library. Hank Haney is a real no nonsense, educated teacher. Listen to him and you will improve. - Jeff (7 handicaper)
I'm currently interested in Hank Haney's teaching method. His book explains the golf swing in a way I better understand.I compare this book to Ben Hogan's five lessons book.I would sug gest anyone trying to improve or is having trouble understanding to check this book out.
Playing golf 25years....its all about the swing. The book was helpfull in showing how to keep on plane. I also bought the ben hogan book... combined.... very very helpful generating the proper swing. took off strokes for sure! need to get a putting and chipping book now
Very straight-forward review of the basics plus quite a few helpful hints such as ways to eliminate left/right shots. Gives concise info for preshot routine, correct address sequencing, and a bit of course mngt/mental part of the game. Not overly wordy or technical but a book definitely geared for someone with a bit more knowledge than the beginning golfer. Probably best suited for the 6-15 index W/E golfer.
