We are pleased to offer this collectable
hand carved and painted, solid wood, Mallard duck decoy # 123,
by H.H. Hugman for Abercrombie & Fitch.
Robert Harvey Harold Hugman was born
March 8th 1925, in San Antonio, Texas. He died November 12,
2009. He was a graphic designer and an avid outdoorsman. His
love for the outdoors is reflected in his beautiful duck decoy
carvings. His series of duck decoy carvings were commissioned
by Abercrombie & Fitch.
This Mallard duck decoy measures approximately
16 inches from bill tip, to tail tip, it is 5 3/4 inches wide,
and 6 1/2 inches tall. It has a very lifelike set of amber colored
glass eyes. This decoy weighs 2 pounds 14 ounces. There is a
1 1/4 inch diameter, bronze tone, label disk inset on the bottom
that reads Hugman. There is also a date and number stamped into
the bottom that reads "HHH 123" 09/07/83.
Condition- This carving is in very
good condition, there is no sign of checking, and the paint
is intact, no chips.
This is a wonderful duck decoy carving.
It will make a great addition to any collection. Maybe you have
a perfect place on that bookshelf in your office, den, or cabin,
for this fine collectable carving.
