I have used the coffee brewer for over 2 weeks and I have had no complaints. Does what it should do in good time. Easy to clean and good functional display. Looks stylish. Great machine for the price. I have friends who have spent 1000's on a coffee machine and they cannot make 12 cups in a single press of a button. Mind you I have to add the coffee and water every time I need to make a coffee. Tough life I tell ya. Great part of the these brewers is that you are not locked into using a specific coffee capsules. You can grind your own coffee, and buy what you like. Good old fashion coffee brewer is the way to go. Its easy to clean, super easy. Where the coffee filter is placed comes out easily to empty the filter without getting your fingers dirty. Also I have been using the V type filters (to finish off whats in the cupboard) and to my surprise they work well in this machine also.... I have only gone to a maximum of 4 table spoons of coffee with the V type filter and no collapse or overflow. When I finish these I will go to the standard filter. Great machine for the price, dont be sucked in to buying the capsule type coffee machines as the coffee will cost you a fortune over time. Read full review

It does what it says easily. Yet, I really miss the previous model that used regular pods. This machine uses a very rare form of pods (like in motels) that are not easily found. So, it was a great disappointed for us. I am not interested at all in the filters (put your own coffee) included. They were also included in the previous edition, and we did not use them at all. I wanted a pod version. In sum, we are only using the machine for the pot, which is a waste. Unless they go back to the older model, I wouldn't buy another. I'll just have a cheaper single pot plus and individual cup with pods in another machine.

Pros: Quick brewing, delicious coffee, easy to use, water and coffee fill easy access. Cons: I thought the single brew side accepted Kuerig-type coffee pods. Wrong, only coffee grounds for 1 cup, or those obsolete paper coffee pods generally unavailable in stores any more. Unlike other Brands' coffee carafe, this one has an attached lid making it a bit difficult to insert a man's hand for cleaning. This is not a deal breaker. It's just a little tight. I'm not a fan of hinged Carafe lids.

For years my husband and I have been using Starbucks VIA's every night for a cup of coffee. Recently we got a coffee press, which was fun but not fast. Now we have this magical machine. We couldn't be happier. You know all the usual complaints.... It drips when you poor, it's hard to get water in the reservoir, you can't clean it easily? Well, my friends, say goodbye to these annoyances forever. This pot has none of those issues and it brews a single cup of coffee, with ANY coffee YOU want. No pods or cups. Just good old fashioned ground coffee. For those of you who are blessed with being "lefties", you can now fill the reservoir without having to struggle! (Or turn the machine around) Honestly folks. I can truly say that I have no complaints. Did I mention that you could program a SINGLE cup for the morning? Well, you can. Buy this machine, you won't regret it. (I am not a paid spokesperson nor do I play one on TV. I paid for this item and I am getting nothing but satisfaction from writing this review. Although, if Hamilton Beech would like to offer something..... I wouldn't refuse!) Read full review

This is a very easy machine to operate. The only thing I had to change is the cord being very short. I don't quite understand why it's so short. There is no reason I can think of, since it does not require too much power to operate.
