This is my second one of these phones. Great size for me, and a great price. All I ask is clear sound on my calls, easy to text and send emails on. This phone delivers.

If you're interested with a phone of this caliber, its a good sign that you're tired of the "everyone has an iphone" mentality and you want something better!!! As a stock G2 running at 800mhz, android 2.2 and Sense UI, this phone performs fairly average with the other phones of similar specs. However, if you're going to buy this phone, please allow yourself the opportunity to unleash the BEAST that is within the hardware of a G2. First and foremost, it is VERY SAFE to overclock this phone and run customized ROMs (assuming you follow the procedures properly, otherwise you could brick it). The aftermarket support for this (discontinued) phone is incredible and new development are almost released on a daily basis. The first thing I did after the phone arrived was to root it and then I installed CyanogenMod 7 overclocked to 1.5ghz. Once you get to this point with the G2, there is no looking back. You will not find another phone at this price range with this much performance. You can go to any iphone owner and honestly claim "anything you can do, I can do better". Sidenote: for the pure hardcore modders, there are kernels available which will allow a stable OC @ 1.9ghz!!! The condition of this phone is as described on the listing, there are minor chips and dings on the corners, but they're barely noticeable for a used item. I added a nice protective case with a Skinomi Screen Protector and the phone is looking almost like brand new. Its my bias opinion to say that Android is a better performing platform than iOS, but don't take my word for it. If this is within your budget, give the G2 a try... you WILL NOT be disappointed and wonder why everyone else is still buying iphones :-pRead full review
This phone may not have the fastest processor or run the latest version of the Android operating system, but in my opinion it remains one of the best phones on the market. I have used one for the past two years and I absolutely love the physical keyboard and the bright, clear display. I use my HTC G2 as a phone, Kindle eBook reader, web browser, and weather center. I purchased two extra G2's as spares in case my current phone ever dies (or gets unceremoniously dropped in the toilet). One of my spare G2's went to my girlfriend's teenage daughter who is rough on phones and had destroyed three over a two year period. After a year of hard use, her G2 is still going strong. It does have an unexplained rattle when she shakes it, but she loves her phone and refuses to upgrade to a newer model. Buy this phone while they're still available! (I'm seriously considering buying another for myself so I can enjoy many more years of happy G2 ownership.)Read full review
This phone is amazing. For anyone who wants a real smartphone with a hardware keyboard this is the way to go. There isn't a real reason to buy this phone if your'e fine with just a touch screen keyboard, you can get a way better value for your money with a regular smartphone. It's quiet heavy and feels very raw in your hand but you get use to it. When you get used to the keyboard typing just becomes so natural and fast. Other then the keyboard it has all the features of an android based phone and it can get the most out of the operating system by because of the fact that you can easily overclock it and modify it as you want (as in any other android). Battery life sucks a little bit but this goes to every other smartphone on the market up to date.
this phone is a good compact phone and recomend if your a texter keybord is ez to use and has voicetalk. batturey is very good last me 8hours in use it last 7 charges really fast in 3hours the down side is photo organizer it does not have one and thoughs you to the least year for example if you have photos that you took in 2011 it will show that first then you have to keep scroling to get to the year.. thsts the only down side but all other funtions are good.
