Bad arse little saw!!! Hands down no competition .
This saw is simply the best saw for its size anywhere. I have 4 1970 era saws in my arsenal, and they are built sturdy! These saws have awesome torque and great all around power and the super 2 is super light weight and has awesome power. I have cut dozens of full sized pine trees with this saw in the past two years and it is the one saw I Use the most. I will not ever part with it. I also have a stihl 032 av. A husky 141, super 2xl , super ez auto, a super xl . Love my homelites the best.

The Homelite Super 2 is the best small saw I've ever used!
The original Homelite Super 2 was a more powerful version of the revolutionary XL-2 twin trigger chainsaw. No other manufacturer had a saw that was as dual purpose as the Super 2. It was balanced enough for 1-handed operation with the front trigger, yet powerful enough to buck a full 16" piece of firewood using the rear trigger. The design was simple, relatively easy to work on and very reliable. There is not a saw produced today that comes close to the value of a Homelite Super 2.
Purchased product for parts piston was stuck. Actually a good working saw . I unfroze the piston. Overall was a good purchase for parts or with a very few parts and not lots of cost will be a working saw!

Versatile Double Super 2
Hey Sawyers, I have used the super 2 saw for years as a tree climber (arborist) The weight to power ratio is the most versatile of any saw in the canopy of a tree. The reach cannot be compared with any other lightweight saw hence the double trigger model. I still own several of the double trigger Types for high reach work.
