HARD TO FIND 1925 GALE TOWN CRIER RADIO SPEAKER - AMPHITHEATER DESIGN - WORKS!

Up for auction is a working 1925 TOWN CRIER RADIO SPEAKER in very good condition. This hard to find speaker is made out of what I am going to call a "hard plaster molded material." This particular speaker is a dull green with gold trim. The green is a little darker that what the photos show because of the flash. The finish shows signs of age and wear: some flaking of the finish, some imperfections which I believe could have been in the mold, etc... There is one particular area located in the back of the throat of the speaker that looks like it may have been patched at some earlier date. This area can be seen in two of the photos. It is solid and has no weak spots. On each of the bottom corners is a light image of what looks like a musician blowing a horn (see picture). It has its three original rubber feet and a nice metal identification tag on the front. I tested the driver with a 9 volt battery and got the familiar clicking sound so it is good (works). This speaker reminds me of an open amphitheater and it measures approx. 10 1/2" wide, 6 1/2" deep and 12 1/2" tall. I have been selling radios and speakers for approx. 20 years and have never had the opportunity to sell one, let alone see it, so don't let this speaker pass you by! Packages shipped with Fed Ex are automatically insured for the first $100.00. Any item that surpasses a $250.00 bid amount will require a signature upon delivery. We also ship internationally (Check for quote). International buyers are responsible for any Customs or duty fees that apply to their country. Ohio residents must pay sales tax.
