These are the bog-standard, time-tested Rotomatics and as a lifelong user, I find that current production is arguably better than most older units. The button shapes make for a better look, consistent with guitar contours, than most other tuners. The screwdown ferrules are mechanically and sonically superior to friction-fit (cheap and absurd) ferrules. Even the classic units without the newer, higher ratios work well because the gearing is manufactured to close tolerances. I installed these on a '36 Gibson L-00 (yes) and they look like they were born there and funtion wonderfully.

Grover tuners have always been excellent quality and have always served me well! Despite all of the new designs and brands, as a luthier and a professional guitarist, I still think that they are the best.

I’ve used these on a Les Paul and a SG. Love them. Can bend a set of .10’s and stays true.👍
