Up for auction (and priced for a quick Buy It Now sale) is a 2000-2002 Gretsch 3155 Historic Series Streamliner guitar w/the original hardshell case.  This instrument was manufactured by Gretsch BEFORE they had Fender start building their guitars.  The craftsmanship, tone and playability is excellent.

This instrument is all original and features a transparent red finish with gold hardware.  It has a hollow maple body, cream-bound cat's eye soundholes, a maple neck, cream-bound 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with thumbnail/half-moon inlays on the bass side of the fretboard.  The nut is 1-11/16" wide with an overall 24-3/4" scale.  The pickups are Dearmond 2000 (similar to Dynasonic) single coil pickups.  Finally, the bridge is set into a supporting slab of maple that runs under the soundboard (unlike the bridges of most other Gretsch hollow bodies which have a floating bridge) and a Bigsby tailpiece.

Overall, this guitar is set up to play beautifully, with a ton of natural tone and resonance which translates beautifully through the pickups.  The neck is nice and straight and is not twisted at all.  Cosmetically, this instrument is in excellent condition .  The tortoiseshell pickguard has been removed (and subsequently lost), but is easily replaced and the three original mounting holes are present, but not obvious.  The TKL case is clean and in great condition inside and out as well.

Personal Note:  This is a GREAT guitar that is versatile enough to play in any style.  It is a model that is increasingly rare to find for sale and is no longer in production.  I have not seen any of these listed on ebay in a long, long time.  If you're looking for more information about this instrument, please Google 'Gretsch 3155 Streamliner" and read all the super positive reviews about this guitar.

Thank you for your interest!  Good luck and happy bidding!

PLEASE only bid if you are ready to buy and have the funds available immediately.  I will only sell and ship this instrument to the lower 48 states.  Shipping costs will be determined based on location and this item will be shipped via UPS ground, fully insured (which is what the $10 handling charge is for).  I have done my best to accurately represent this guitar in both pictures and written description and this instrument is being sold as is... if you have any questions about it, please ask before bidding.  I always have access to my email and will be happy to answer any questions.  Check my feedback and bid with confidence.  I do not sell garbage and stand behind what I sell.
