I upgraded from my Breville Juice Fountain to the Green Star GS-1000 because I wanted a machine that would produce more nutrient-dense juice and not turn most of my produce into a mass of soggy pulp and watery juice like the Breville. I was wasting a lot of money on expensive organic produce only to have much of it end up in the pulp bin. I just made my first juice in the GS-1000 and the difference is amazing! Lots of juice and very dry pulp. My first juice in this machine was a green juice, my least favorite but I hold my nose and toss one back twice a day because it's good for me. To my surprise, this juice actually tasted good! The flavors of the veggies really come through in a non-pulpy, robust version of what I used to get out of my Breville, meaning it wasn't like tasting veggie flavored water this time. I am so in love with this GS 1000 juicer - I know going forward I will be able to stick with my juicing program and maybe actually get to look forward to the juices I drink. Cleanup was a little more complicated than the Breville but once I assembled/disassembled once, I had the hang of it. This does go slower than the Breville for sure but with tons less waste and much, much better flavor and juice quality, it's worth it. This machine is not for those in a hurry, and there are more nooks and crannies to clean than the Breville, but it took me no more than 5 minutes clean up, tops. This juicer is not for the impatient folks. But if you're going to be serious about juicing, you'll do what it takes to get the job done, including getting up earlier and juicing ahead of time. Contrary to some other reviews I've seen, it does not take superhuman strength to push carrots or anything else down the chute. However, too many bunched up green clogged it up and I had to clean it out and start again. If you feed the greens down the chute leaf by leaf or even in a small roll, it takes them right in. The problem comes when you try to stuff a bunch down the chute at once and mash it down with the pusher, which creates clogs. Take your time and you'll have no problems. This is an excellent product and I am looking forward to accomplishing many positive life changes with it!Read full review

A friend recommended this juicer, and it it amazing. Leafy greens, root veggies, citrus fruits, apples... It handles everything I toss in with no problem. There are a few parts to clean, but it's all very simple to take apart, and there are really no nooks too tight to clean with the included brush. This thing will get some use.

I've been wanting to try a Greenstar juicer and this used one in great shape has been perfect to try out. It's probably best with greens, sort of slow with carrots but leaves very dry pulp. I have an Omega and Champion too, and the Greenstar is over all better than them. However my Norwalk is still king.

Great for me and my 2 grandsons (ages 10 & 11) to have fun together. I can trust it to stay upright. It's built very sturdy. A great way to share good healthy food.

This juicer was actually better than the listing because it was perfectly clean, worked immediately performing as it was meant to. I look forward to many years of service from this machine. Also, this is a high quality brand, extremely well made and designed.
