Wow! An amazing piece of art work from Pairpoint.
This outstanding lemonade or water pitcher was made by Pairpoint Silver Co.and is hallmarked on the bottom.
Pairpoint Silver was established in 1880 and is known as one of America's premier early silversmiths.
Pairpoint was one of the first silversmiths to recognize silver as a art medium. He served his apprenticeship in Pairs and was chief designer for Gorham from 1868-1870's
This beautiful pitcher has a rich deep luster and makes a lovely display.
The lid is very fancy and highly detailed.
Large lavish border around the lower area of the pitcher matches the upper border. Very ornate detailing on the handle and spout featuring clusters of cherries. Both sides of the body have a lovely floral motif.
No breaks, or repairs. Porcelain liner has only light wear inside. Silver plate has a splendid deep rich shine.
Excellent original condition. Only a little lite wear and a slight bend of the rim. Very minor and as you can see doesn't detract from the overall beauty of the pitcher.
Stands a magnificent 14" tall and is 11" from handle to spout.
A fantastic and rare find for your silver collection or to use as a eye catching display in your home. Wonderful to use on all your special occasions.
This piece is a true work of art and is definitely museum quality. Wonderful to use or as an eye catching display.
This stunning silver water pitcher would make a timeless and thoughtful gift for any occasion. Or, just treat yourself to something beautiful!
Please ignore any dark areas you may see in my photos. These are only shadows or reflections, not silver loss or a defect. Anything that is other than that I will describe in this listing.
My merchandise is antique and is not new and has lived a long and eventful life. Remember antique silver most always has some sort of flaw from being around so many years. Please see all of my other fine silver I have listed this week including a gorgeous figural butter dish.
