German Art Deco Antique Mantle Clock Ping Pang

 


Description

This is a wonderful example of a quality made Art Deco German mantle clock. It has an 8-day time and strike movement. Chimes on every half hour and also strikes the hours on the hour on 3 large chime rods with a beautiful double stroke, ping/pang sound. We just love the strike that lasts for awhile. The movement is heavy duty, original and works great. This clock is large and measures 8 1/2" high x 19 ½" wide and 5 1/2" deep. The clock has a nice quiet way it ticks also. Dial is in wonderful condition. The wood case is in good condition. shows some normal wear coinciding with its age. As you can see on the front left and right part of the scroll is missing. The pendulum may be original but can't say for certain. The key is not original but works.
