GLUD & MARSTRAND Vintage RED ENAMELWARE COFFEE POT Denmark
GM Coffeepot Teapot
A vibrant Red vintage Enamelware
Coffee Pot from Glud & Marstrand in Denmark, circa 1930.
We are pleased to present this vintage
Glud & Marstrand Enamelware Coffee Pot for your consideration.
It is a bright, vibrant Red color with Black trim. It is complete
with the insert that goes between the lid and the base, but
we are unsure if the insert had a screen or additional piece
that went with it. In any case, the exceptional bold Red color
makes this an ideal decorative piece with many applications.
The piece was manufactured in Denmark, and we date it to circa
1930.
The Coffee Pot stands 9 inches high
and has a 5 inch diameter base. It weighs 1 pound 3 ounces.
The underside is marked MADE IN DENMARK, surrounding
the Glud & MarstrandGM logo.
Wear is quite minimal on this vintage
piece. The exterior has scattered small spots where the enamel
has worn through or chipped off, revealing an underlying black
color. The knob on the lid has a shallow chip to its shiny surface.
Most of the exterior still has a bright shine to it. The interior
is clean, but shows some light tan discoloration to most of
its surface. Testing with water shows it holds water without
leaking. We rate the overall condition as very good (see pictures).
This is a beautiful example of a vintage
Danish Enamelware Coffee Pot, in exceptionally good condition
for its age, and in the highly sought after Red color. It would
make a wonderful decorative piece and would be a fantastic complement
to your vintage décor!
