I've been an audio enthusiast and professional installer for many years and have had a few turntables and cartridge combos in the past. I recently got a Technics SL-B3 from a customer. It needed a little work and a cartridge. I thought, according to some reviews I would have to spend some bucks to get a great sounding cartridge, when I came upon a comparison between the Rega Carbon and this AT 3600L. Very good and extensive write up! The Rega is more expensive and is essentially the same as the AT. You can find this review/test online. This AT sounds just fine, I am very happy! This AT is apparently used(under different brand names) by a number of companies and on some pricey turntables. Make sure to set all parameters, overhang(get a cart protractor on vinyl engine or headshell gauge), tacking force(a force gauge is recommended, the LED readout ones work fine), antiskate and VTF(if possible) Good Listening!Read full review

Great replacement for my permanent cartridge found on the Audio Technica USB turntable I own. It's rather difficult to replace because you can't lift the tonearm up very far to get it into position. The old one is hard to remove-and the way you do it is to pull down from the front of the stylus and it hinges down. To replace you put the rear of the cartridge in first, then swing the remainder up until it snaps firmly. I didn't find this out until I tried-luckily I didn't damage the needle-which would be rather easy to do.

The installation was a little harrowing due to the positioning of the tone arm on my turntable but I think that's more the turntable's fault than the cartridge. Once I got it positioned right it went in like a dream. Sounds incredible, too. I got a practically new AT turntable at a thrift store for 25 bucks, and add another 25 for the new stylus (the one that came with the turntable was broken), I'm only out fifty, which is still a great price. Couldn't have worked out better!

I'm no expert or upper crusty audiophile, but this lil gem got me going with the humble collection I do have to play. Plays clean n crisp on my table. Set the precise amount of downward force in grams the needle & table required for longevity and quality.

Stylus seems to be doing its job, but the record speed has changed. I Need to see if there is a adjustment for this. Their should be an adjustment some where for the speed control, once I get this figured out I should be good to go.
