This auction is for a FUTABA 9ZAP/ZHP
professional-grade R/C transmitter that is in like-new condition with no dings
or scratches .
CAN TELL THE PRICE OF THE RADIO BY THE SIZE OF THE SCREEN!
The Futaba "Z-Series" radios
are the most highly-developed (and most costly) R/C systems ever made, with adjustable
"silky-smooth" dual ball-bearing sticks and virtually unlimited
programming capability. There were two upgrades after introduction of the
9Z transmitter, and this is the latest one and most desirable, the
WC2 ("World Champion 2"). This radio has more functions than the 9CAP, a lower-cost 9-channel Tx introduced after the economy tanked in '08.
Currently the 18-channel MZ system is the only "Z" type in production at Futaba, and Tower sells them for about
$3,000.00 You can own the 9-channel
version for about 1/10th that amount!
This auction includes the following
items as shown in the photos:
- 9ZAP/ZHP World Champion 2 Transmitter
- FP-TK-FSS 72MHz fully synthesized Tx module (select any
channel on screen!)
- Futaba battery, 1100 mAh, new in February 2013
- Original Aluminum carrying case with "World
Champion 2" logo (better than the case that came with my 12Z!)
- Original heavy-duty 120 VAC overnight battery charger
- Red Frequency Flag for 72 MHz
- Original Factory Manual, Supplement and 17-page
print-out "Tweaking the 9Z"
- Trainer Cord plus Servo Test Cord (permits checking airplane
functions without broadcasting)
- Futaba R129DP 9-channel PCM Receiver with crystal for
- Futaba R149DP 9-channel PCM Receiver with crystal for
- New-in-package Spartan 256K expansion module. Stores up to 64 model memories.
The 256K module also provides access to a
secret service menu of the 9Z radio; thus you can gain access to settings
formerly available only to Futaba service technicians. Among other functions,
you can fully re-calibrate your radio or just look through to make sure that
everything works as it should.
NOTE: This PCM/PPM-selectable transmitter
can easily be converted to 2.4 GHz simply by removing the 72MHz Tx module from
the back of the radio, and plugging in any FUTABA-compatible 2.4GHz Tx module
(NOT INCLUDED). Some of the after-market
Tx modules cost less than $20.00.
This radio mostly sat on a shelf as
a back-up since I got my 12Z, so I sent it to Futaba in February 2013 for
calibration check and a new "button" battery. This internal battery maintains the system
memory, and requires replacement every five to seven years. Now it's good until 2018 - 2020!
Also installed a new Futaba 1100 maH
main battery, 02-2013. This battery should
also be replaced after five to seven years.
