Rare French School Poster of the Paris
Freshly arrived from France for fast and secure shipping within the U.S.
Gorgeous and rare oversized map from mid century Paris. This is on a rigid stock with strong grommets - so no need for a pricey frame job, though you can also frame.
One side is a map of the industry of the Paris region in the mid century: wines, haute couture, leather, tires, airports... Lots of awesome mid century icons throughout. Miniatures of the world famous landmarks: the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre, Notre Dame and more.
The flipside is a beautiful map of France showing the physical, economical and touristic aspects of the country in the middle of the last century.
Oversized and printed on a kind of thin cardboard. Two grommets for hanging so no need for expensive framing.
This is the kind of poster that can and will carry an entire room. Very impactful.
In good condition for its age and purpose. Has some light wear and age in places on the outer edge, and some scrapes where the illustration is missing - not too noticeable. Otherwise it's in excellent condition.
There are similar maps from the same series on sale in US boutiques for $1600 (framed).
