The Flow Verve is an awesome true twin park board that is perfect for any terrain park enthusiast. Whether you're just learning to ride and have jib ambitions or if you're a seasoned park rat just looking for a board and binding package that won't break the bank, the Verve will accommodate your style and needs. The twin shape rides the same in either direction and EZ Rock reverse camber makes learning board slides, presses, and butters much more forgiving. Whiskey Royale reinforcement under the bindings gives the Verve better edge hold on hard snow than you would get from an entry level board. The Verve gives you a ton of freestyle bang for your buck.
Check out these features:
- EZDual Transition Sidecut shape combines a flatter radius in the binding area and at the tip and tail with a tighter arc just ahead and behind the bindings. This makes for a very easy turning, and good carving board that is still forgiving enough for the less experienced rider to have fun on.
- Whiskey Royale Reinforcement utilizes Biax Fiberglass beneath the heel and
toe areas of the binding, eliminating chatter and making for a smoother
ride. By directing the glass toward the edge, we increase the edge hold
while allowing for quicker, easier turn initiation and delivering a
responsive ride and increasing the life of the board.
- Truflex Core features high strength-to-weight wood construction utilizing different woods uniquely shaped to give excellent all around feel and response on the snow. Wood absorbs vibration better than any other material, so wood core boards are always smoother and more stable.
- EZ-Rock profile offers an amazingly easy, catch free ride. Because the base is slightly convex (edges up off the snow when the board is flat) catching an unsuspecting edge is way less of a problem. Camber under foot gives the board a smooth, poppy feel when taking off and landing, while the reverse camber between the feet makes for easy carving turns and better float in pow.
- Optix 2000 high density base material is very durable, and low maintenance with little need for frequent waxing.
The Merc is packaged here with the Flow Flite 2 binding. It offers Flow's signature quick entry and exit, along with the Power Triangle performance and 3D Powerstrap comfort that has made Flow's reputation. Flow's single piece foot strap over the top of the boot distributes pressure evenly over a wider boot surface. The Powerstrap doesn't cut off the circulation, crush your foot, or limit the flex range. With no ratcheting each time you get in and out of your bindings, you even get more runs for your money.
Flite 2 binding features:
- Reclining High Back requires just one hand to "kick" the boot in, "lock" the high back to ride, and "drop" the high back for super easy exit. It could be argued that Flow is responsible for the demise of the step in bindings of a few years ago. Flow was the first to combine top performance of the binding with the most convenient entry and exit. Flow offers a wide variety of different high back and base plate designs, BUT EVERY SINGLE MODEL OFFERS THE RECLINING HIGH BACK.
- Molded baseplate with EVA padding offers both stability and forgiveness and has a little extra cushion under foot
- DuPont high back is responsive but comfy for all day riding
- CI Flex Powerstap over the top of the boot has deep cutouts on both sides to reduce weight while still providing good support. Its 3D shape offers a great fit to the top of the boot, for snug fit that is always comfortable.
- Two lateral Airframe MINIrachets and two Quickset buckles can be micro-adjusted at each corner to get rid of any pressure point.
- Power Triangle cable is patented for a good reason. The high back is linked by a stainless steel cable to the center of the baseplate. Energy is transmitted directly through the Power Triangle cable to the board. It is easier to get from edge to edge, and improves power to both edges.
