Real Estate books usually fall into one of two categories: The ones that inform, and the ones that entertain. This one does both. I recently flipped a house, and thanks to Kirsten's solid advice and experience, I made a nice chunk of change. In Flipping Confidential, Kirsten walks you through each step of the buy-renovate-sell process, using real numbers and concrete examples that make the information easy to understand. What I like most is that she doesn't make ridiculous promises like some books on the subject (i.e. "read this book and you will make millions!!!"), but instead offers a realistic look at the process--and the potential for success (and more importantly, how to be one of the success stories.) She answers virtually any question a flipper might have and offers tons of practical tips--from questions to ask your contractor to how to determine your final sale price. Even if you're not planning on a "quick flip," her suggestions for how to improve your home or property will benefit homeowners if/when they eventually sell their own home.Read full review
