First generation 2M6 SE with desirable tan interior. Adult driven since new, and always professionally maintained, this Fiero runs perfect and drives perfect. Everything works, including the power windows, cruise control, remote side view mirrors, original radio/cassette with equalizer, and headrest speakers. The air conditioning was professionally converted to R134a last year, and blows ice cold. The retractable headlights work properly, and were upgraded to later model Fiero/Firebird lift motors for more reliable operation. The tires have 90% tread, the engine runs smooth, burns no oil, and the transmission shifts perfectly. This car has no rattles, odd noises, or overheating issues. It is a joy to drive, and I wouldn't hesitate to take it any distance. Some of the paint on the top portions of the car are checked and faded from the sun, but that's the only thing I can find bad to say about it.
VEHICLE HISTORY REPORT IS BELOW PICTURES
The vehicle history is below. Ebay refused to provide one of their free history reports because they determined that my occasional sales of antiques and rare coins constitute that I am a used car dealer (8 cars in 13 years). They claim that once they designate a member a dealer, even by mistake, "it is IMPOSSIBLE to undo the designation". Apparently being a monopoly removes any incentive to offer customer service, so I have provided a detailed history of the Fiero below. I am well acquainted with the history of the vehicle and both of its owners, but if you wish to confirm the following information by purchasing a report from Carfax or any other vendor, I will refund the cost of the report if you end up buying the car. Call me at (561) 371-0957 if you wish to discuss. Sorry for the inconvenience.
History of Pontiac Fiero VIN: #1G2PF3796FP226356
1985: Special ordered and purchased from Haggerty Pontiac in Illinois in August, 1985. Titled in the State of Illinois - Title #A8596628/IL - Purchaser was a professional woman from Plainfield, Illinois, who owned the car until 2012.
1992: Full engine replacement performed by the original dealer at 64,791 miles (it was determined by Pontiac that the original engine had a casting flaw that caused a cracked block).
1992-2012: Car was used regularly for recreational purposes, making numerous trips to a summer home in Michigan, and several round trips to Florida.
2012: Sold to the service manager of a highly respected auto repair business in Michigan City, Indiana, who purchased it as a gift for his wife's 50th birthday.
Titled in the State of Indiana - IN Title #12390066000038
Mileage at time of sale: 113,483
Prior to being gifted, the car underwent extensive updates at the owner's shop. That work includes the above-mentioned A/C and headlight upgrades, new valve cover gaskets, exhaust manifold gasket replacement, new water pump, rear struts, front shocks, battery, A/C condenser, and a rear brake hose and caliper replacement. New GT exhaust tips were also welded into place.
2013: After one year of fun, the busy wife and working mom decided the Fiero isn't as practical for daily use as when she owned one in college, so she has returned to driving her SUV.
Additional history and information:
In trying to estimate the value of the Fiero, I kept running into 3 types of cars.
1. Expensive Fieros with super low miles that appear to be in showroom condition, but have sat around so much, they likely have hidden engine damage from being run infrequently with old gas in the tank, and brake, fuel, and cooling systems that are gummed up and corroded from non-use.
2. Sooped up Fieros with high performance after-market engines, or fake body panels that disguise the clean beautiful lines of first generation Fieros.
3. Cheapo Fieros that have had 6 or 7 teenage owners, and been used primarily as cheap transportation, or for jumping curbs in the high school parking lot. Others look like they've been parked under a tree for 10 years with the windows down.
The Fiero offered here is none of the above. It may need a little paint work to look new again, but it has been garaged most of its life, driven responsibly, and maintained regularly. Please check my feedback, and bid with confidence.

Questions and answers about this item
Question: Reading the history, are you saying the engine only has 50,000 miles on it?
The original engine was replaced at 46,000 miles, not 64,000 as stated in the history. The work was performed by Haggerty Pontiac, and all parts were provided as a gesture of "good will". An example of great customer service that eBay could learn from.
