It has all the power that you want from an amp and it provides it cleanly. It can easily go from 100w needed for a large outdoor function to a 25w channel. This allows you to use this amp anywhere. The problem with some other tubed amps is that the louder and longer you have the amps on, the meaner "more growl" that it has. You may want this sometimes especially if you are playing the blues or rocknroll. In other instances you may not. This 100w amp gives you all the power, all the clarity, and of course has all of the fender qualities. I would recommend it to anyone that can handle the weight of it. This prize weighs almost 100pounds. Worth every pound too!!!!!
I've owned mine since the mid-90's. I cannot tell you ALL the guitarists with a rack of you-know-what who said, "Gee, I really wish I had one of those!" There definitely is a peak in "ambiance" as the amp warms up, and you get more liberal with your axe's vol ctrl. The tubes will follow your every move. Except for the Marshall 410 combo (model name, NOT no. of spkrs), THE TWIN has NO equal. The Fender clarity, and the Gain circuitry, in all of my years of listening (to everybody) is unsurpassed. I was a Total Fan of the Fender Pro 185's (MOSFET), also SRV's fave, as I found out, but they quit making them! Why? So I could get me an EVIL TWIN ,that's why. I do believe Stevie would have, too!
I bought my Fender Twin Amp (the Evil Twin) brand new in 1994, when I took it home and plugged it in, I was in awe. This amp has one of the most beautiful clean sounds money can buy and it can growl too! Thru the years I've changed the tubes once and had to replace a volume pot that got unwieldy. This is a LOUD amplifier and I mean LOUD, I've never taken it past 6 and believe me, I was head a block away. I've had over 15 amps in my life and this is the only one that I will never sell. (and my Hiwatt).

The amp sounds great .... looking forward to using it on stage. I've been looking for one of these for quite some time. The "Evil" twin has both a good clean jazz like quality ..... and all the raunch you want when the time comes.
Unusual vintage Fender amp. I like the twin guitar inputs. Same Fender voice from each amp. All tube, breaks-up well and delivers grate tone and volume.
