Up for sale is my Fender Custom American Standard Precision Bass. Made in Corona California in good old USA. All original covered tuners including Drop D tuner, High mass bridge, you can feed the strings through the bridge or through the back of the body, tortoise shell pickguard. All USA markings are correct. Complete with original inspection tags, serial numbers and registration documents. I bought it new back in 2009 for $1300. Only modification added was a 4x pre-amp by SHC Music to the bass. I've only use the x1 setting on the pre-amp and that doubles the output. Just turn the first knob one click doubles your output, the turn it back to stadard volume. Is really great to use instead of a pedal. Combining the x1 setting and playing the Drop down low D will shake the building. The x2,x3,x4 settings tends to overkill. Will come with Fender hard shell case as pictured. The bass does have some minor dings on the outside edge where it is black, shown in photo 11. It does show standard where from playing but functions great. Its name says it all. Precision. Itonation is perfect. No string fret vibration. Neck is straight and very forgiving. Pressing down anywhere behind the fret and your note is clear and dead on. I just bought another custom Precision Fender so time to let this one go. You will not be disapointed with this bass. Drop D tuner gives you the abillity to go from the standard E to lower D by flipping the lever. Gives the bass a deeper throatier sound. Bon Jovi's Dead or Alive is a good example. At the begining I like playing both standard D with lower D with the x1 setting. You don't just hear it, you feel it. When the vocals start, I click back to normal mode. Since it is used it is being sold as-is. Ebayers beware of fake american fenders. Go to Fender.com to see the real American Fenders. Then compare what your looking at. When you buy or thinking about buying a genuin American Fender, be sure to get documents proving it's USA. Look for the USA icons. Definetly compare the Fender website with what your looking at to purchase. Thanks for looking. If you have any questions music, bass, or otherwise just email me and I'll give you what I know. Play loud and proud
