This kit is one of the best on the market! It's the only kit I'd use on a Kimber 1911 standard frame pistol. If you're going to have a conversion kit, always buy the kit that your manufacturer makes! While not cheap, the quality is excellent and works flawlessly! Needless to say, I would highly recommend it!

the Kimber Rimfire Conversion is a welcome addition to my collection. I installed it on a springfield loaded .45 that I use for steel challenge. it allows me to practice with inexpensive rimfire ammo and also has the benefit of nearly zero recoil. the lack of recoil has proven to be a benefit when i train new shooters (like my daughter) they can learn sight alignment, trigger feel and all of the basics without developing the bad habits like flinching. a couple of things to keep in mind: 1/ install an 18lb mainsping to maximize reliability 2/ use quality high velocity ammo 3/ get some spare magazines from promag 4/ be careful, a tuned 1911 with this slide can easily become your favorite gun

It took about 500 rounds to "break in". Many "fail to load", and "fail to eject". I eventually got it to fire all types of ammo, however, switched to a separate mainspring housing with a #19 mainspring.

Works great, good practice changed mainspring in Kimberly 45, would be nice if kimber would give me two clips, there a bit spendy, but I got here quicker then mentioned, I love shooting i

I have a Kimber Custom II, and although several companies make a .22 conv. for 1911s, I like to stay with the same brand, It works as advertised. Great product.
