We insure all items we ship of value greater than $50.00. We incorporate these costs in our shipping and handling calculated by the calculator.
This is a nice early clock. It is about 21 inches tall and about 9.5 inches wide. Not pictured is the movement, the photographer did not know how to remove the cover. It has a cylindical French movement, with a bell. The wire that the pendulum attaches to is missing, a very common and easily remedied issue with old clocks. I cannot check if the clock works as I cannot get the pendulum to swing, but the clcok does chime when I move the hands to the hour, so that part runs, though I did not take it through each hour to see if it advances properly. I will try to get to this during the week and add the info.
SHIPPING AND HANDLING: We post a shipping calculator for shipping and handling costs. The Ebay shipping calculator includes the handling costs. This shipping calculator is the same as what we use to generate packing slips. It also adds insurance, which of course increases as the value goes up. We do combine shipping for a savings. this is usually based on additional weight and handling requirements for the extra items. We do collect handling fee, generally $2.50 cents for smaller items and $4.50 for normal lartger items that require peanuts and purchased boxes. We use priority shipping and handling and offer other shipping options Local pick up is encouraged and no handling or shipping fees would be applied.

||With important and significant exceptions that I will enumerate, the Conditions of Sale are: Item sold is being sold "As Is," all sales being final with no refunds or returns. Due to the volume and variety of the objects we handle we may or may not have expertise to properly list or describe certain items to the satisfaction of the collector. We handle items for consignment much like an auction. It is incumbent upon the buyer to determine if he wants to bid on this item or not. |
|Exceptions to the Conditions of Sale
- We sell no reproductions or fakes knowingly unless listed as such. I guarantee that my items are genuine and as listed for all items from 1900 forward. All other items predating this time are guaranteed to be as listed. If I list an item as "17th century" it is 17th century, if I list an item as by "Tiffany" it is guaranteed to be by Tiffany, etc. I will NOT warrant antique fakes or copies as long as I do not specifically attribute an item. For example, if I list a vase as: Old Chinese Vase and it is a 19th century copy of a Ming vase, it is not returnable. If I list a vase as being Ming and it turns out to be not, it would be returnable.
- I will stand behind statements I make in listing as to condition of the item within its objective limits. In other words, if I say something is not chipped, cracked, repaired or broken, I will stand behind it. If I state an item is silver it is silver, if I say it is sterling, 14 karat, etc., I stand behind it. If I make a statement based on either my or another's expertise, I will stand behind it, and it will be clearly stated as an expert opinion. I will stand behind descriptions made as an expert opinion by myself or others, but ONLY under if stated as such.
Statements I make which do not void my Conditions of Sale are thus: Subjective and qualitative descriptions are just that. They are my opinion and are not meant to be a definitive description. These statements are made as personal impressions and an honest attempt to describe this item from a layperson's point of view. Again, due to the variety of items we sell I may not be aware of the standards within that collecting field. We welcome all emails and post whatever fresh information we feel is important. For subjective opinions, we do our best to provide quality pictures of the item. Use these to make a determination of the quality and condition of the item. What I think is fairly clean may not be what you thing is fairly clean. What I think are bright colors may not be what you feel are bright colors. Look at the pictures! Again I welcome all emails and will attempt to answer them to the best of my ability.
In the case that the item is misrepresented under my terms, which is never intentional, I will be glad to
Adjust the price to a mutually agreeable sum,
Refund your money including shipping costs back. I limit my liability to the price you have paid for the item including shipping, and the shipping costs back to me
