Here is a testimonial from one of our customers,... thanks Tumbleweed-26
Dear sheribelle9dl6, Hi, I finally installed the clutch repair kit on one of my trucks, WOW!!! I couldn't even see or feel any slack in the old setup and I honestly didn't think that I would gain anything by installing it. Now the clutch works better than new! Hats off to you for fixing something that Ford has had a problem with for years. I asked several mechanic shops what I could do to help it and they all said that the only way to fix it would be to replace the clutch and flywheel (about$1500) But I insisted that the clutch was all right and only needed a way to adjust it. I have tried everything over the years, building adjustable pins etc. Myself and many others have tried and failed but you got it right! I own a wreck rebuilding shop dealing in almost exclusively big Ford trucks and know many people in the business and I will definately forward this on to all of them and encourage them to purchase one from you. I will be leaving A+ feedback ! Thanks again and Good Luck with your excellent product.
AND ANOTHER GLOWING TESTIMONIAL
from John Holt
I put the clutch end replacement in and it is AWESOME. It fixed ALL of my clutch problems. I had play in the pedal, a loud clicking sound when you let off the clutch all the way, a stiff clutch, and the friction point was way low on the floor. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS PART!! My wife could actually drive my truck now! I was told the wrong clutch was put in and I would need a new clutch/flywheel......$1800.00 or so on a 1997 F-250 4X4 Diesel. I will be leaving all of the positive feedback on e-bay I can!!!!! I also am going to plaster this thing all over the Powerstroke forums I belong to!! Thank you so much!! Oh and by the way I am a white collar lazy banker, so if I can put this in anyone can!!
We have had many requests for help with '99 FORDS so we had one try it and see how it works, this is feedback from Ryan Riedhead about his '99 FORD experience
not to easy to put on a 99 powerstroke. but it went on in about two hours. the sawzall wouldn't even scratch the rod comin from the clutch cylinder but it was no match for the chop saw. just took longer to get it out. thank a bunch
I was able to cut through it with the sawzall but the saw was almost to big to work under the dash. a die grinder with cut off wheel would have been best but I didn't have any air. but I like the way it works now. clutch pedal never felt so good. thanks again ryan
January 2010 Curtis Motors in Vermont has sent us his experience installing on a '99 should be a GREAT help to all of you out there wondering about your '99's
I installed this on my '99 f250, and since the clutch rod is so much harder, I would say you should recomment to your customers that they remove the clutch master from the firewall and do the cutting with a cutoff wheel from under the hood. Its very easy to unhook the clutch rod from the pedal and pull the master cylinder out of the firewall. Also, i removed the c-clip on the clutch pivot pin and removed the whole clutch lever to east the grinding of the welded pin.
