A fine older rare Northwest Coast standing figure depicting a naked Haida shaman circa 1960-1970. Finely carved and sculpted from a single piece of beautiful maple wood. Striking abalone shell inlaid eyes and great subtle use of painted highlights. He stands 10 1/2" tall and 4 1/4" wide and is in fine original condition. The dark line on the face is the result of a natural knot in the wood and carries through to the backside as well. He stands proudly and firmly upon his legs. This figure will make a great display item and a fine addition to anyone's collection .
