 A fine large old Northwest Coast Nootka Nuu-chah-nulth hand carved and painted cedar totem pole dating from the early to mid 1900's. The totem is a particularly complex model of the famous "Chief Seattle " totem that was erected in Pioneer square in downtown Seattle in late 1800's. Painted in great bright old pigments of red, black, white and green. Though the totem is unsigned it appears to be the work of one of a carver from the famous Williams family of carvers. The totem stands 12" tall with a base measuring 2" x 2" and is in very good original condition with no damages or repairs noted. Just a normal patina from age and handling. . The totem makes a great display item and a fine addition to anyone's collection. Please add $9.95 for careful shipping and insurance (USA and Canada) . No reserve , so have fun bidding!
