1/2 price of Fender/Schaller...at what cost? These don't mix well with all locks by the other guys, but I took a file to the button and took some metal off and they work. If you only use these, they will work great....I needed more buttons for more guitars. The Plunger on these is much looser than brand name, the hole is bigger. The spring holding the button in is weaker on these, you have to pull the brand name buttons harder to release. You have to pull the button OUT on these to get the lock on, where as the brand names will slide on with a tug. These buttons have a bevel, like the brand, but the plunger hangs up if you try to tug these. Finally, these are "looser" on the buttons, meaning they will move around/rattle around more than the brand name. Still....for half the price, if you are doing a bunch of guitars, and a few straps, the economy of these will make it a decent purchase, I do not think the guitar will come loose from these. Time will tell about how durable they are, I can't comment on that. They may be made in the same factory that makes the Brand Names for all I know, just under different tolerances. These should work fine for 90% of us.Read full review

The strap locks look good and would work fine if the screws were the correct size. The screws are too small in diameter and too long to fit my 2012 Fender Telecaster. Also, the guitar’s original screws won’t fit in the strap lock buttons, so they can’t be used in the place of the incorrect screws that were supplied with the strap locks.

These are genuine Fender parts, but they may not be compatible with other brands. I bought these for an Ibanez bass guitar and the screws were too small and the studs would not accept the Ibanez screws, the heads and shanks of the Ibanez screws were too big. I was able to modify the studs and find replacement screws at Lowes and they now work perfectly. If you're wanting parts that require no fitting these may not be the ones for you. However, the quality is excellent.

Genuine Fender. Fit my new Made In Mexico Fender Player Stratocaster perfectly. The screws are the same size as the ones that were already in the guitar so I just used the originals and now I have extras! Upgrading to locking strap buttons is not only one of the easiest upgrades to make, but it adds extra peace of mind knowing that oversized holes in straps or running around on stage are no longer a worry that you might accidentally drop your guitar. Even if you don't think you'll ever need them I recommend you install these anyway. And at this great price you've got literally nothing to lose!!!

I had problems with other kinds of strap locks/buttons, especially because I like to move around when playing, but I'm happy to say these work a charm! They are easy to use and are very secure.
