I have one that is about 8+ years old, so I decided to replace it. I like the new see-through cup and will stand upright without support. The old one has a permanent angle for the sweeper, so it would not stand on it's own. It is great on bare floors and carpets with a setting for each. Light weight and can vacuum under the bed. The only issue I have is that to remove and clean the brush/roller, you have to take the base apart. That's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I'm keeping my old one too, just to use on the back porch where the concrete is a little rough. Works great!

Unfortunately this product did not perform the way I had hoped. I was trying to vacuum up kitty litter from the floor & all it did was push it around. I had to get my hand held Shark which picked up every piece of litter beautifully. I was very disappointed because I was looking forward to being able to clean up without having to bend over (I've had back surgery & am fused from L1 through S1).

What is all the fuss about this little cordless Vac!? Actually, this stick vacuum is NOT a full sized all consuming vacuum cleaner. It couldn't be… It's cordless. Remember that when you order any cordless vacuum cleaner; they all have their limitations. The really good thing that this cleaner has is the replaceable battery pack. I had a Dirt Devil Scorpion stick vac cordless and while it lasted quite along time - 5 years - when the battery finally went completely dead and would not hold a charge for more than one minute, it was time to get a new battery pack. There was no such luck for my little Dirt Devil. The unit is a throw away. Now, in this day and age when all we hear is, "We have to conserve our water, our energy," and just about everything else, it seems a real waste of time and resources to just dump the Dirt Devil. It was in really great shape and it really made me sick when I called the company for a replacement battery. Nope, just toss it out and be done with it! I dumped the unit and started looking for something that would be more conscientious to the environment and for the price, this Eureka 96H fit the bill. I has a replacement battery, the suction is relatively good, it has a brush sweeper that can be turned on in combination with the suction (For carpets) and doesn't make a lot of noise. I have used it now on my linoleum floors and a shallow tweed carpet and it really does a great job picking up crumbs, shoe dirt from outside, leaf particles, and just about everything that comes through the front door and also off the kitchen counters. It is NOT a full functional - plug in - high power vacuum. Buy a corded model if you plan on taking a big powered unit around the house to do your chores! This little 96H is meant to save the time and energy of pulling out a big vacuum which has cumbersome hoses and tangling plugs and then doing a few little dirty spots! This is a great choice for the price and using it on small areas and the real plus is that the battery can be replaced in the future which is easier on the environment. I highly recommend this unit. I have yet to see how long the battery pack will last.Read full review
I bought this to replace an Electrolux hand vacuum. It picks things up pretty well off the hard floors and rugs without sucking the rug into the vacuum, works well to keep the kitchen floor clean between major cleanings. It is made as expected for the cost, the latch that holds the container could be better. The container is just not very large and has to be emptied often. My major issue is the filter fit into the container it is difficult to get right and seal, should be a drop in operation without the fuss of fitting the seal. Care to clean the filter well will keep it working well. I don't have enough information about durability or battery life to comment.

Quick to get into operation and does a good job. Only drawback is the cup could be a little larger. Have a larger dog that seems to shed all the time. But good feature is that the brushes handle it well and don't get tangled up with the hair.
