What could be sadder? Or better? Man, I got a $600 guitar for a little over $150, and all I have to do is pin and glue the headstock back on, add a little bit of wood filler, then finish the neck to my desired shape. A few coats of airbrush black paint and clearcoat, and it's gonna be cherry. Right now I'm just waiting for the glue to dry. The guitar itself is a thing of beauty, with quality abounding. The fit and finish are spot-on, and it just stands out beautifully. The ProBuckers should have an awesome sound, and I can't wait to try the coil-switching and phase reversal options. Man, if you're not afraid to take a chance on your personal abilities and get one of these, you'll save a ton of money, get a killer guitar, and have the pride of knowing you saved a dead axe. There's tons of info on the internet to help you with getting the headstock back on. Just my opinion, though. Hope this helps. Thanks for reading! editRead full review

A great practice amp makes it fun to practice, but it won't replace the glorious sound you get from your rigging/recording amp and pedal board. But that's OK. This EPI is like a great practice amp in terms of it's purpose, for me anyway, which is to be ever-available whenever I'm in the mood to practice. I leave it out without worrying too much about damage like I would a high-end model. The fact is that the build quality is simply excellent, the playability beats my Gibsons (with their silly nibs) but the sound (even with ProBuckers) is not quite as sparkly (at least compared to 490s, SD JBs, or Classic 57s) . It could be that I don't care for BurstBucker-type pups (which I had once and didn't care for them). Still, I'm pleased to own my EPI LP Custom Pro particularly for the value it represents with the playability it offers. HIGHLY recommend for anybody,...novice or serious hobbyist like me. Its a good 'beater' for a pro or even a decent gigging backup.Read full review

Epiphones have been played on Stage by many Professionals , for a long time. They are a sister Company to Gibson Les Paul ,Made by Gibson guitar Co.Les Paul actually wanted EPIPHONE to be THE Guitar of his choice. Gibson was going to keep its “name” Gibson. and was not going to produce Epiphone Guitars AT all .The Owners ,themselves thought Epiphone would cheapen the Gibson les Paul line. Then neither guitar would sell. One is to expensive ,the other is to cheap. The Fender would have s hayday out selling their guitars at a lower price. Beating out the leading guitar Comp. But as it fell... Gibson is still is the top guitar to own. Epiphone is right behind them. Fender is to ones own playing skills. But still a great guitar to play. Epiphone to me plays as great as all my Gibsons. Those Guitars sell for a exploded high price. It can make or replicate any and all sounds, required for music or everything sound , tone wise. LES PAUL didnt like the fact that Gibson was overpriced . He was an ordinary working joe.He wanted everyone to play and it be affordable to play one. People make so many mistakes about how Epiphones“sounds just like a Gibson”. With proper Anplification you can make any cheap guitar sound great. Epiphone IS NOT a cheap Guitar. Their prices are lower and gradually moving up every day, becomming more expensive . Rightfully so. They do kick well you know .but ..watch them go sky high durring the next year. The Eletronics are all Gibson. Everything even the dish Inlays Gibson at the top of the head. The Tuning Keys I love the pearloid tunners. So much like the old Guitars. Not a cheap Guitar. Looks great under a blacklight. Have you Ever looked at your Guitar under black light? Excellent beautiful. ... not only looks but changes colors as well. Inlays , Pearloid keys POP...... I recomend Epiphone over s Gibson. I own and play them both .My first choice! EPIPHONE. All the time. A players guitar! With a big A...amp (MARSHALL )will blow everyone off the block with sound. Intonations and creation of tones. Rock it. One Review , One person raving about how good it sounds after gluing the neck backed with a pin?and a slight airbrush refinish? The Intonation is not correct that is why it is humming or buzzing frets.. Another job for a Guitar Tech.Refinishing or even repairing a broken headstock is not just that simple. So much more you did not do. That is required for Intonation to be righr.. thats part of the issue that fella is having. It may sound good to him but I doubt your playing out somewhere. Somebody ,no everbody would walk out. The tone will be way out.of tune. You have no tone ,you cant hear it.Your also having problems with the tension rod, as well.Setting yout TOM. To Gibson factory sets. Then change them to you playing style then that will clear that up. Making sure the tension rod and TOM is correct. Otherwise all you have is a guitar that will not tune correctly ,never will. Until the Ussue is fixed. A pin and Glue? More than a PIN , more than GLUE.. It all hinges on Intonation. If you do not have all that correct dont play out in a Vinue . You will embarass your self. Take it to a profesdional tech. Let them do those adjustments unless you know exactly what your doing.?Many make that mistake. I have literally fixed a guitar in 5 minutes. Only because they dont know. I have seen guys riip and riff, a guitar but cannot set tonation A good Tech will charge you a heafty price if uou dont know.. Guitars are a precission Instrument and should be treated with very excellent care. Cleaning is neccessry keep frets clean. Or fingers will turn black. Fixing a cracked headstock is out of most anyones hands unless you know exatly what your doing.Hope this helps those that dont know. Its not that easy.Excellent care and cleaning is what makes a guitar last and keep its reziliant looks.Read full review

Good looking of course, they pick well, easy controls, prices for these are high for the most of us. There worth every bit though. I've played from very early age and can make a cheaper guitar sound just as good with a very good amp. If money is not a problem heck buy one with out any chips. You'll always hate having one with scares scratches nicks etc. Buy what you want when you can!!
