I'm not an expert in this field of collecting so this is a buy as is. Also please ask any questions before bidding. What I can tell you is that I will be selling several different original fashion plates in the days to come. At the top this plate says “Engraved for the Lady’s Magazine” and at the bottom "London Mourning and Evening Dress.” Although there is no date on this plate I found some information in a book about plates that said these are from the late 1700’s into the early 1800’s. One I saw similar to this was dated 1808. The edges show a bit of general foxing so please keep that in mind. It measures about 5 ¼” x 8 ¼”. |
