This auction is for 1 new Kydex Better ESEE AH1 Arrow Head Sheath and Handle. The knife is not included. This set up allows the user to use it as a neck knife or safely store it in a pocket or emergency kit. I bought one of these Arrow Heads a while back because I thought it was cute and would come in handy in my bug out kit, Unfortunately by its self it is really to small to be held in the hand and used effectively. So after staring at it for a month I came up with this solution. Mold .125 Kydex to the top and bottom sides of the shaft and secure it with a screw. Oops stripped the kydex with the metal screw so I found a nylon screw to use which cant strip the kydex. I then extended the handle so there would be 2 lashing points instead of just one and secured them with 2 1/4 inch brass rivets. It locks up real well that arrowhead is going no where with out a fight. The pressure fit sheath snaps into place with enough force so it stays but if worn as a neck knife can be pulled out with out any pain in the neck. (pun intended). Now the specifics: Handle material is .125 kydex on each side, the sheath is .06 kydex. Weight less than an ounce comes with para cord for use as a neck knife. Overall length 4.5 inches width handle about 1 inch width sheath 1.5 inches handle 1/4 inch in depth and about 1/2 inch where it surrounds the stem of the Arrow. 1/4 inch rivets on handel 3/16 inch rivets on sheath The edges of the handle are not polished to aid in grip retention. The edges of the sheath are polished. This is a really neat and functional idea for a product that you have or if you don't you should buy ESEE really makes a nice blade. Thanks for looking and if you have any questions ask them. Good bidding Ken
The round circle that you see in the picture is a US quarter for size comparison. This product I only will be making in black. See my other items for other sheaths in different colors. Thanks for looking, Ken. |
