What is a Direct Cord Hard Wire Kit?

The Direct Wire Cord is an optional accessory that allows you to connect your radar detector directly to your fuse block or other 12-volt source (leaving your lighter socket free for other uses).  By installing our direct hard wire power cord you will free up your cigarette lighter outlet or your 12V auxiliary power outlet.

 

The Direct Wire Cord is approximately 8 feet long and comes complete to hook up your radar detector.   Don't purchase one that's too short.

Normally comes with a T - Tap Direct Cord Tap to connect to a power wire source like below. 

If you would like to change the t-tap to one of the fuse taps, just let us know which one you would like by leaving a note with your PayPal payment AND email us

Our power cords will allow your radar detector to be hard wired to your vehicle very easily.  If you do change vehicles, simply unplug the red wire from the T-tap connector or Fuse Tap, and unhook the black ground wire.
