Kathy's book is the only book that gives us insight about the "man", not the "image". As a soprano, Kathy Westmoreland was singing at musical comedies and operas, performing oratorios and traveling with the Metropolitan Opera National Company by the age of eighteen. Returning to California, she joined the singing group The Sandpipers, who had a major hit with the song "Guantanamera." She became a studio session singer, appearing on numerous television shows with Richard Bernard of Red Skelton, Tim Conway and Bobby Darin. She was one of Jimmy Joyce's singers, Ray Conniff's singers, Johnny Mann and many others, including vocals on recording sessions with hundreds of major artists.
In 1970 she joined as a backup vocal for Elvis Presley, both in the studio and on stage, where he would introduce her as "the little girl with the beautiful high voice." She continued to perform with Presley until his death in 1977 and sang at his funeral at his request, all in all, 7 years.
Elvis Aron Presley died on August 16, 1977, only days after he said Good Bye to his audience on stage on June 26, 1977. He was 42.
As Presley's vocalist, confident, lover, and friend, in 1987 she broke her 10 year silence with the publication of this extremely rare "Elvis and Kathy."

Many of the pages remain together by the edges, as if the book was never opened, after the trimming blades cut it to shape. - Both front and back HARD COVERS are outstanding, crisp, clean, with no marks or damage. - The back cover has not been fully opened. When released, the cover opens at less than 90 degree angle. - The spine is beautiful, intact, tight!
