This great old photo (top image) shows many businesses in Neosho. Many signs are readable, especially in the larger sizes. Neosho is near Joplin and has over 11,000 residents today. This reproduction will be custom-made for you new, from a photo lab. It will not be a laser print, not a printed poster, not inkjet (except 16" x 20" and larger sizes). We have taken great care to preserve the sharpness and antique look while removing scratches, spots, and other damage that would make it less viewable. We have added a detail view here (bottom image) that will not appear on your photo (see "What is the detail view?" below). Your photo will have more or less empty street at the bottom depending on the shape of the photo you order.

What is the detail view?  This is an enlargement of a small portion of the photo. It is intended to show you some of the details in the photo and to give you an idea of the image quality. It is not a second print and it will not appear separately on your photo. The larger the photo you order, the more detail you will see.

Custom processing:  We professionally enlarge your photo as soon as we receive your payment, usually within 48 hours. This means that you can choose an alternative size, finish, or tone. We ship quickly, usually within 2 or 3 days. So, you must specify any alternatives when you pay.

Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.

Size options:  The bid and/or Buy It Now prices shown are for one 5" x 7" photo that is ready to frame in a standard 5" x 7" frame (frame not included) or to place in an album or scrapbook. However, you can substitute the 8" x 10" or 8" x 12" size at no additional charge. Be sure to make your request when you pay. Or, to substitute an even larger size, you can purchase an additional item titled "Upsize your photo or art to..." Finish options:  Your photo will have a luster finish unless you request glossy when you pay. Glossy reflects glare from windows and bright lights but appears to be a bit sharper. Glossy also shows fingerprints more than luster.

     Sizes 16" x 20" and larger have a satin finish similar to luster.

Tone options:  Your photo will be black and white as shown unless you request sepia tone. Sepia is the color of antique photos today, caused by acid in the old paper. Our sepia photos are on acid-free paper, but look antique. Grayscale or "black and white" is the way modern prints are often made from silver negatives. Border:  Your photo will have a minimum border. This means that there may be some white edges (less than 1/4 inch wide) outside the image so that you can display the maximum amount of the image in a mat or typical frame that hides the edges of the print.

Quality:  We select the highest-quality original photos we can find and carefully restore and improve them. Old photos do not meet today’s high standards due to the limitations of the cameras, lenses, and film available in those days. But we improve them as much as we can using modern techniques. Then we process them using archival methods so they can be affordable and last for many years.

Packaging:  We ship 5" x 7," and 8" x 10" photos flat with a stiff board to prevent folding, in a sturdy envelope. Larger sizes are carefully rolled and shipped in a sturdy mailing tube.

Shipping time:  Your photo can not be made until we receive your payment and your request for substitutions if any. However, we ship within 5 days after that. The time required by the postal services to deliver your photo depends on the shipping method you choose, customs, weather, and other factors beyond our control.

Shipping cost:  Ebay calculates your postage based on the total weight of all the items you order from QuaintCards. Photos with their protective wrappings average 4 oz. each. Then eBay adds $1.00 for the packaging materials. However, (see next paragraph)

Free shipping offer on additional items:  If you purchase two or more of our items together, we will gladly subtract all the weight from your postage except the heaviest item if you request this before you pay. (Your invoice may need to be adjusted manually by us.) Please click "Ask seller a question" or "Request total from seller" when you have finished purchasing items from QuaintCards. You will receive a 72dpi version of the image that is not more than 1024 pixels wide. You can request it to be cropped. Images may not be printed for resale.
