Enjoy live HD TV wherever the fun takes you with the Dish ViP 211K Tailgater Bundle with included HD Receiver. Designed for sporting and outdoor enthusiasts, it's ideal for taking to the park, the mountains, or the parking lot before the big game. It works right out of the box1 and is live in less than 15 minutes.
There's no monthly contract to tie you down. With the DISH Pay-As-You-Go plan, you pay only for the months you use. When the season is over, simply stop your service without penalty.2
How Does It Work?
The Tailgater Bundle consists of a fully-automatic, portable satellite antenna and an HD solo receiver (model ViP 211K). Portable and lightweight, it's easy to carry from one outdoor activity to the next. The Tailgater antenna connects to the ViP 211k receiver using a single coax cable for easy setup. Simply plug the Tailgater Portable HDTV System into your TV and in less than 15 minutes3 you can start watching live HD television programming. The Tailgater will automatically locate DISH satellites so you never have to point a manual satellite antenna.
The Tailgater antenna draws power from the receiver through the coax cable, and you will need a power inverter to power the Tailgater antenna, ViP 211K receiver, and TV from your vehicle's DC power supply (120 V AC power outlet required). If you are watching TV from your vehicle for more than a few hours, periodically run your vehicle to maintain battery life. For extended use, a portable power generator, power pack, or alternative accessory battery is recommended.
With DISH Pay-As-You-Go, you pay only for the months you use and can start and stop service without penalty. To restart service, simply call DISH or log into your account via a Web browser.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I donnect the Tailgater to the receiver through my RV?
Most RVs already have an exterior portable satellite input that leads to the main cabinet for TV electronics (where the receiver will go). Simply connect your Tailgater to the exterior input (may be labeled as SAT in port, or Portable SAT in), connect your receiver to the internal electronic cabinet, and plug into your TV.
Will my Tailgater work during inclement weather?
Though rare, heavy rain, snow, or dense cloud cover can reduce the satellite signal, which may interrupt your television programming. Your television programming should return as conditions improve.
Can I use a DVR with the Tailgater?
You can add DVR functionality and the ability to record and pause live TV by attaching your own USB external hard drive to the USB port on the back of the receiver. A one-time $40 service fee will apply. The external hard drive must have its own power supply cable and must be rated between 50 GB minimum and 1 TB maximum.
How do I view local channels with my Tailgater?
Local channels are subject to availability based on your geographical location. If you are in the same area as your billing address you will be able to view those locals. However, if you travel outside of that area, you can view locals in that area by connecting an over-the-air antenna to your receiver.
Additionally, for a $5 monthly fee, DISH RVers can subscribe to DISH Distant Networks and enjoy nine channels (LA/NY networks and national PBS). Requires the RV vehicle declaration and Distant Networks service authorization forms. Subscribers with a residential account must have a separate RV account to view Distant Networks. Subject to availability.
Can I use multiple receivers with the Tailgater?
No. The Tailgater has a single coaxial connection to support one ViP 211k receiver. However, multiple TVs can be supported with shared viewing. The receiver's audio/video output can be sent to multiple TVs via HDMI, component +audio, composite or coaxial cable.
Can I still use the Tailgater if I get programming from the DISH Eastern Arc satellites?
Eastern Arc programming (orbital locations 61, 72, 77) is the same as Western Arc programming (orbital locations 110, 119, 129), with the exception of some local, regional and international channels. Western Arc satellites are visible throughout the US; however, the look angle for satellite 129 is lower in the Northeast. Due to the lower look angle, customers may experience difficulty viewing programming from the 129 satellite while in the northeast region. Programming from 110 and 119 should still be available.
