The scales just like this that I use by my desk are invaluable and quick to use. They save me considerable time in calculating weights, and because they are accurate, I can stamp everything at home, post small items in the post box with accurate postage, and even the larger items can be stamped at home and handed straight over the Post Office counter without any waiting time!

Re-calibrating the Scale.

Although this scale is supplied with a default setting of 0g - 5000g, it is (fairly) easy to adjust the scale so that you can read in greater accuracy (0.1g - 1000.0g) at the lowest end, or if you are slightly off the top end the scale can be adjusted to read up to 7kg.

Please note: on the 0.1g to 1000.0g scale, the scales do not measure accurately under 1.0g.

You will need an accurate measured weight of 1000g / 3000g / 5000g / 7000g according to the scale desired, in order to do the recalibration accurately.
If you have nothing else, a jug of water carefully measured beforehand will do. 

The scale will retain the re-calibration indefinitely or until the batteries are changed ( I have experienced both scenarios when testing this feature).

I will supply full instructions for re-calibration, as the factory-supplied instructions are hard to interpret.
