Absolute junk. Been building computers for over 35 years, so I am not some newb with no clue how things work. It was a nightmare to install. Their drivers and software are buggy at best. But worst off all, this printer will not stay connected to the network. At first it was just wireless that was having issues. But within 24 hours even the Ethernet will not stay connected. The printer goes to sleep and either drops the connection, or it does not monitor network activity. Either way, you can not access it's webserver, nor can you print to it. At least not until you turn it off and on again. Then it reinitializes, and reacquires the wifi or Ethernet connection. Which means it is USELESS as a network printer. if all you need is USB, it may be a great printer. But then why pay for a network printer??? Worst piece of junk I have ever seen. I asked some friends in IT about this and they acted like I bought beachfront land in AZ. Seems everyone in the field knows Dell has a terrible reputation when it comes to printers, and printers like this are why. I did manage to find out that this is a Samsung made printer, but now I know why they are so careful not to have their name associated with it in any way. Before you buy this do some research. Google this model's reviews and focus on the number of bad reviews and what the bad reviews are saying. You will see this problem is not unusual. Wish I had seen those reviews before I wasted time and money on this horsepuck. The item I got was an open box. And there are lots and lots of those for sale. That right there should be a warning. God only knows how many times my particular printer was sold and returned for exactly the issues causing me to return it.Read full review
Prints fast. High quality printing. Kinda buggy with some browsers. Have only been able to get it to print with Internet Explorer. Can't get it to print with anything else. Edit: After a year of owning this, I wish I had bought the Canon. I've had nothing but trouble with this printer. I spent countless hours (days) on the phone with Dell support with not much luck. I've got about 13 years of computer experience. Sometimes I can get it to work, most times I can't. I have to reinstall the drivers and use a USB cord hook up from the printer to my laptop. Can't get wireless or direct ethernet patch cable to my router to work at all! A waste of money!!
Just picked up a dell B1265dfw laser printer and it works well and is wireless too! Toner lasts a long time and the print quality and speed is great too! Highly recommended!
Verified purchase: No
It print very clear without making any adjustments!
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
I purchased this printer for the wireless capability and the fax. Setup was very easy and all the features work well. I put it in a showroom and none of the users are tech savvy so if they have no issues using it daily it must be simple enough for most people to figure out.
