Ex-Card shark Tommy Vinson played by Burt Reynolds (In the Name of the King, The Longest Yard-most recent movies) swore himself off the cards years ago, but when he takes on a cocky young player named Alex Stillman played by Bret Harrison, as his protege, he quickly finds himself drawn back into the world of high-stakes poker. The plot here is alot like The Color of Money movie starring Tom Cruise and Paul Newman-except here instead of pool- Reynolds and Harrison do it useing cards as a means. Gil Gates directs this movie and wrote the plot, and he has only had one medicre directing effort on the Big Screen (Life After Tomorrow). He has had some success on Tv as he directed the Season 1 efforts of Silk Stockings. Still here, even though Reynolds and Harrison do a good job of acting-the plot is too obvious - even for a drama movie. This movie will interest people that like gaming type movies, or people that enjoy the game of poker. And it is not a bad movie-just an obvious movie. Alot of people will find entertainment in it--and quite a number will find they would have preferred another movie to watch. Pretty good for a movie at best, unless you just love Burt Reynolds movies.Read full review

I found lots of types of DVDs I wanted and that I didn't find in my country. Everything was all right and excellent. The DVDs were good as new like you buy them from shops. Thanks very much and I'm sure I will buy again!
Bought it based upon a buddy's recommendation. Personally, I think he's just got a thing for Shannon Elizabeth-lol! A very watered down&unrealistic version of a poker Movie. I'd endorse Rounders or Lucky You before this one!
