Though he's seen by some as the Jimmy Osmond of Nashville, Billy Gilman displays a generous amount of R&B roots on DARE TO DREAM. Okay, so he's not exactly Otis Redding, but little Billy's pop-R&B flair on "Our First Kiss" and "She's My Girl" wouldn't sound out of place next to the likes of white-soul popsters Wham or Hall & Oates. On "You Don't You Won't" DARE TO DREAM takes yet another stylistic leap with a neo-swing tune that sounds like a young Michael Jackson (or at least Taylor Hanson) fronting Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.
