I bought the CD after listening to a friend's "Remedy" CD by the same band. I love the music though "Remedy" is still my favourite as it contains more ballads and reflection than the newer CD. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to listeners who want a Christian band with great music and thought-provoking lyrics that you can actually hear! I have heard the band described as "alternative" but I disagree unless alternative just means that it is not the same whitewashed stuff that makes me turn the Christian radio station off after a few minutes' listening.
I love this album. I bought it because of that one song, How He Loves Us, but the entire album from front to end is a tour de force of guitar driven worship with profound lyrics. I think it's a good successor to Jars of Clay's self titled album, that went on to be a classic. But unfortunately, it's genius was never duplicated by that band. Similarly, Crowder has set the bar high here, with an album that engages with raw talent and genuine worship. It might be the best album they'll ever have. Amazing album.
David Crowder Band is one of the best Christian Rock bands that inspire and truly worship God

This album is unique from most in that it runs continuously [there are no gaps between the 17 tracks], which essentially creates a 73 minute song & when the album is looped it creates a never-ending song [very cool]. The 1st half of this album is similar in style to their previous one (Remedy, 2007) & the 2nd half is an experiment of different styles only DC*B could deliver to you. A great CD & a must have if you are a DC*B fan or not!
