What's good about this is David is spirited and "alive" so it's nice to have that captured on this DVD. It serves as a nice souvenir and is more than reasonably priced. So what's wrong with it? Well, it's tediously "hip". Jump cuts, freeze frames, fades to black, fades to white, colorizations, negative images, upside down images, crazy camera angles. You name it. And I can't believe that this is even an issue, but there is an amazing lack of sustained close ups and images of Bowie. There are a lot of shots of bass player Gail Ann Dorsey, on whom the director or editor seem to have some kind of fixation. It's all very curious. Bowie is clearly engaged and this DVD doesn't need all the extra video doodling. The sound is great. The show could have been better. I wasn't overly impressed by the song selection either but that's my fault. Tracks are: Rebel, Rebel New Killer Star Reality Fame Cactus Sister Midnight Afraid All The Young Dudes Be My Wife The Loneliest Guy The man Who Sold The World (nice) Fantastic Vogage Hallo Spaceboy Sunday Under Pressure Life On Mars? Battle For Britain (The Letter) Ashes To Ashes The Motel Loving The Alien Never Get Old Changes I'm Afraid Of Americans Heroes Bring Me The Disco King Slip Away Heathen (The Rays) Five Years Hang On To Yourself Ziggy Stardust This has a healthy running time of 140 minutes.Read full review
For a DVD, this concert is fantastic...the mixture of the old ("The Man Who Sold The World") the at-that-time new ("Reality") was great. Having never seen the man live it was a rush to watch his emotive performance--he clearly felt everything he sang thereby letting the audience experience it for themselves. All in all, a very moving and entertaining 2-and-a-half hour show. I wish they would re-release it in the blu-ray format but, as I stated before, for a DVD it's as good as it gets! It was wonderful to witness the artistry David Bowie exudes...even after his untimely passing!

This a great CD to enjoy even if your not a Bowie Freak. It shows his range , his undeniable talent as well as a live passion to his music. The band is super and his bass guitar player is very talented indeed. My favorite song here is " I'm Afraid Of Americans " that just rocks out and is hard to get out of your head with the trigger pull and clicking sound they use. But this is not a one trick pony show, and I was really surprised by superior sound quality for a live show even though some video has somewhat grainy . You need this dvd in your music collection . What I use to think as strange is now mature and thoughtful , by todays standards the now not so young dude is just so solid and entertaining without the flash. Dude has always been crazy talented and now it just comes thru in this performance. Enjoy !Read full review
