This Organ is AMAZING working Condition! BID WITH CONFIDENCE!

The Crumar Traveler 3 is one of the first double manual organs from the company. It has a full 61 keys on the upper manual , and a short 44 key lower manual. The sound generation is completely analog, divide -down technology . It has Drawbars to control 9 harmonics, and they are slider type , that pull out. It has other keyboard -type sounds that complement the organ, such as piano, electric piano and foot -pedal bass . All sounds are analog. Other organ type features are vibrato , and key click. There are 4 percussion settings as well, and an over -all level control for them. There is an Upper and lower mix for the manuals , and a main level output and a tuning knob. Everything is laid out rather simplistically, and within easy reach. The Organ was made to be a live performance instrument. There are separate outputs for the various sounds, all 1/4".

The Crumar Traveler was manufactured in the mid 1970s. It has no LED lights, rather functions are illuminated by small light bulbs, behind colored plastic buttons. The Crumar is very heavy, weighing in at 75 + lbs. and bulky as it has much circuitry and components inside. The Crumar organ is suitable for retro rock music and some organ duties, but in no way shape or form is it a "clone-wheel "  , nor is it a Hammond. It really has its own unique voice. The Keyboard bed is spongy and feaal great. Very easy to do fast runs on. The keys are not waterfall type, rather they are semi-weighted synth type keys. The organ sound is its main strength, and should be used for that intended purpose. Piano tones are retro-cool and could be layered with organ for an interesting effect.

The main organ is the Upper manual, which has the 61 keys, and the close proximity to the drawbars. The harmonic drawbars are structured in a similar fashion as a Hammond starting with 16 ' and extending to 1 '. The Harmonic sounds are very good, particularly if the instrument is given proper warm up time. Convincing rock tones can be structured, and an 'all stops out' full rock sound is very useful. Other tones are easily attained by reducing drawbars and extending the higher frequencies. There are 3 pre-sets for the upper manual as well. The percussion effect is good, particularly if combined with amplifier reverb. There is no distortion or pre-amp built in.

Mainly, this upper manual can mimic famous rock organ sounds convincingly. Hammond -style tones are easily gotten in the vein of : Whiter Shade of Pale,  Gimme Some Lovin ' , I'm a Believer, Magic Carpet Ride, Foot Stompin' Music , Whipping Post , Black Magic Woman , Fly Like an Eagle  and Lazy . It is very necessary to use some Leslie overdrive pedal in conjunction with this organ. A good choice is the Boss RT-20, set on Leslie model 122 simulation, or Marshall Plexi simulation mode.

Other rock organ sounds can be had with a minimum of digging such as an awesome Farfisa and Vox Continental sound, just by adjusting drawbars. It is a very fun type bar-band organ for the week-end rocker.
