I purchased this item, a Cobra L4v Driver based on an experience playing with one a couple seasons ago. I liked it because it is a draw biased design and I have a natural fade to my golf shot. The first time I played with this club it added 30-40 yards to my drives, based on the fact it actually did straighten it out a bit. It gave me an opportunity to actually aim my drive and have it end up in the vicinity I wanted it to go without having to "play my slice" and hope it worked. I have been looking for one since, but the $299 retail price tag kept me away. This one was showing up considerably less on ebay, and I took a shot at it. It is not the first time I had bid on this same type of club, just the others went pretty high on the bidding and I stopped. Not so this time. What I love about this club is the added distance and acuracy I have gained, as well as easing the pain of my "golf elbow", which I aquired from the contortion of my arm and wrist to correct my slice. No more contortions! And now I get to really create my "power fade" shot. I also love the unique sound it creates on the ball strike. I love seeing the heads turn to get a glimps of what in the heck just made that strange noise on the tee. What I mildly dislike is the "chrome" foot plate, which to keep the shine I am constantly having to buff out any scuff marks. While it looks pretty and shiney, it would work better for me to not have it polished metal. All in all, I am very pleased with this item and would recommed it to anyone looking for a similar solution to thier golf game.Read full review
Oh dear Jesus, what a driver! I own a golf shop, so I get to play anything I want. There are a lot of excellent drivers out there now from a variety of manufacturers, but in my opinion (and for my swing) the Cobra L4V is still the best. Although it was introduced for the 2008 model year, it's significantly better than the Cobra drivers that have followed it -- ridiculously easy to hit long and straight, swing after swing. The stock Diamana shaft is definitely softer than the stated flex, so if you're lucky enough to find one like mine with the factory-installed upgrade Aldila VS Proto 65 you'll have a winner in your bag.
I have to say I simply love the club. I have only played about ten holes with it, but know it is a special gift from the golf gods. It is very forgiving and feels great when you hit the ball. The sound has been muffled in comparison to some earlier Cobra "F Speed" type models. To tell you the truth, I would think that if someone hits this club they would want one immediately. It is going to give me lots of fun over the next couple of years. If you are worried at all about the club, rest assured the problem is not with the club but with you thinking. It is a piece of art.
As usual Cobra has made a great feeling and very forgiving Driver. A plus!

Club lives up to all the great reviews. Goes long and straight right out of the box. Others may find the head a bit noisy but it certainly isn't overly annoying. It's just a different sound similar to perhaps an aluminum baseball bat. Trajectory is consistent with its loft designation. Size and dimensions makes it a bit difficult to manipulate the head in order to shape shots but if your desire is to go straight, this club has very little if any rivals
