When we first heard the song "Jesus Messiah" on radio before the CD was released, I really enjoyed the song as a way of worshiping the Lord. We couldn't wait for the Cd to come out. The CD contains 12 songs, including "Sing, Sing, Sing" and "God of This City", which were in the other God of This City album. The rest of the 10 songs are new. Even for the above 2 songs, it is good to listen to the studio recording version in this album. We like all of the songs in it.nSome of the lyrics is just some of the greatest: "I will rise, when you call my name. No more sorrow. No more fear." "Jesus Messiah, Name above all Names. Blessed redeemer, Emmanuel..." "These sufferings, this passing tide. Under Your wings I will abide..." If you are interested in learning how to play his songs, check out the Limited Edition for Worship leaders. It comes with this CD as well as instructional DVD by Chris Tomlin. I would say that Chris Tomlin has definitely scored another hit with his 5th studio release ‘Hello Love’. Since ‘The Noise We Make’ (2001) Chris Tomlin has brought forth some of the most recognized songs on the contemporary worship music scene. Songs like ‘How Great Is Our God’, ‘Forever’, ‘Holy Is the Lord’, ‘We Fall Down’ & ‘Indescribable’. His latest project communicates what he describes as the "need to introduce ourselves to love again." ‘Hello Love’ challenges the Church to worship their Creator. This is evident throughout the album on songs like ‘God of This City’, ‘Sing, Sing, Sing’, ‘Love’ & ‘I Will Rise’ to name a few. There is a good mix of quiet & lively songs amongst the 12 tracks totaling almost 1 hour of playback time. I liked most of the songs but track #8 ‘God Almighty’ was one that I personally had issue with because of a whiney violin solo that grated on my nerves for the last minute of the song. Besides that I have no other complaints with ‘Hello Love’ & I’m glad I've added it to my CD collection. I would say that it is a must have for Tomlin & contemporary worship music fans alike. 2 THUMBS UP & 4 STARS!Read full review
Chris Tomlin is a mega star of Contemporary Christian music. Hello Love is just another in a string of smashing successes. Churches all a crossed the world sing be singing Jesus Messiah. It's one of those tunes that everyone from Great Grandpa to the five year old will enjoy. That song alone makes this worth buying. But it's far from the only enjoyable, praiseful piece. If you're looking for some contemporary inspiring music, look no further than Chris Tomlin and "Hello Love".
Quality and quantity of songs are fantastic! This is a favorite cd of mine and my ten year old son. Giving it as gifts now :)
