Description
This Christening Gown is an heirloom of your heart to be shared with all the little blessings in your life.
This christening gown is fitted for sizes newborn, to 12 mos. Many gown patterns are written for up to 3 mos size, I find however many babies have their baptism/christening even later. Also, while some
babies though still young, are larger in size. Even more, this gown
can be made into a dress - perfect for any holiday occasion to baby's 1st birthday.
** Note: This listing is a for a crochet pattern only, not the finished piece.**
Gown Detail:
This dress has a round yoke with a delicate picot edging, adorned with
glass seed beads (optional). The gown is open all the way down back, for
quick and efficient dressing and undressing.
This gown can also be made as a dress- and is so charming, simply ending
below the filet triangles at bottom! Because the gown works from the
top down, length can be adjusted as needed.
The sleeves are a flutter of flowing, ethereal-like pineapple scallops.
The body of the dress is comprised of a lacy vertical stitching, giving a
prelude to the striking bottom edging. The first part of the edging
begins with a ribbon eyelet row, followed by a block of triangular filet
ending with another eyelet ribbon row. The final part of the edging
consists of larger pineapple scallops, akin to the sleeves, bringing
together a symphony of love and lace.

FAQ:
1. Can I sell the items I make from your patterns?
If
it is a pattern published through the Crochet Garden, then yes,
in fact I encourage crafters to sell the projects they make from my
designs! As long as you yourself made it, you can sell it. You are not
allowed to sell the pattern. For my designs published elsewhere, you
will need to contact the publisher and follow their publication rules.
Under Item Specifics section if the Brand says "Crochet Garden," then it
is published through the Crochet Garden and you can sell the items you
make.
2. Who designed this pattern?
I did - I am Lisa
Naskrent of the Crochet Garden. I fell in love with designing in 2004
and never looked back. I design professionally full time and have had
publications in Annie's Attic, American School of
Needlework etc. My crochet journey also includes publications in
crochet magazines such as
Interweave Crochet.
3. When will I receive the pattern in the mail?
The hardcopy of the pattern will be mailed within 48 hours
of receipt of payment. Though the listing says 2-3 days, it may take a
day longer since I take extra care and package my pattern with cardboard
to defray from possible folding or bending. Because of this, the post
office sends them differently since they must be handled by hand rather
than machine.
4. Is this just printed off your computer and are they in color?
No,
these are not printed off my computer. A professional printing company
uses top laser ink technology to print the patterns. The patterns are on
paper stronger than regular typing paper and stronger than your typical
magazine pages. They are also printed with a beautiful sheen, and are
3-hole punched, ready to join all of your other patterns from here! All
photos within the patterns are in full color. Most of my patterns are printed on both
sides. But do not worry, there is no bleeding through to other side like
with regular typing paper. I like to conserve :)
5. Can I get a PDF in addition to the mailed pattern to get a jump start while I wait for the mail?
Absolutely.
Email me or send a message with payment and I will send you a PDF as
soon as I see your message; I am just as excited for you to receive your
pattern as you are! Though I check mail multiple times a day, I
sometimes go away on weekends, and there are times where it may take up
to 24 hours to receive a message.
Please allow longer on holidays. Your printed pattern will follow soon
thereafter in the mailbox.
6. What if I get stuck?
There
is a support/testing forum where myself and other testers are ready to
help, as well as support email available to help you through. All this
information is printed within the pattern.
7. Does combined shipping include only your auctions or items in your store too?
The combined shipping includes all
of the pattern from auctions and within the store unless otherwise noted
(exceptions may pertain to booklets, etc.)
Please email / message me any questions you may have before and after. Thank you!
