Cambridge Marjorie Tankard
You are bidding on an EAPG tankard designed in the MARJORIE pattern.
This pattern was produced by Cambridge Glass in the early 1900’s.
This tankard is decorated with stars, fans, zipper and diamond cuts.
The base is clear with a rough pontil mark.
One seam is visible.
This tankard has a silver metal rim with a grape repousse design.
I don’t know the quality of the metal and can find no markings.
It is a heavy rim and weighs 7.6 oz.
The glass is clearly marked NEAR CUT, a trademark of Cambridge Glass.
This is a quality piece and weighs a little over 5 lbs.
There are no chips or cracks in the glassware.
The handle is secure with no evidence of heat check or cracks.
The base shows appropriate scuff marks from use.
One note – the silver rim is removable…which would
make this piece better for display than use.
Probably could be re-attached by a professional
with the appropriate glass adhesive.
It measures 10 inches tall to the spout
and the base is 6 inches in diameter.
This pitcher is in excellent condition.
The glass is clear and bright.
A Great Addition to Any EAPG Collection
