I needed a smaller light for every day carry and wear on my duty belt. This Surefire fits my needs perfectly. I use this light for security/police patrol work and it's the best I have found so far. This very bright but compact light provides plenty of light to light up an area or interior of a dark building on the first press of the switch. The low setting (2nd click) is great for finding things in the car or house in the dark or for lighting my path at night without alerting everyone around for miles that I'm there. Surefire has always made high quality flashlights and this one lives up to the brand's reputation for quality. I would recommend this light to anyone for uniformed duty use or for personal every day carry applications.

OK item. It does protect the light bezel head and lens from accidental drops and from normal wear and tear but it doesn't have slots to fit the special tool to tighten it secure in place, it get loose very easy after handling the flashlight for certain amount of time, I need to keep using my fingers to re-tight it again. I prefer the Xenon ring, it's stronger, solid and aggressive and it does has the cut-out slots for the tool.

The instructions were very clear and useful for knowing how to operate the flashlight. At first the settings for making certain that one could not accidentally leave the light on felt awkward. As I have grown accustomed to how it worked, I can see the value in how this operates, but still find it awkward to use in an emergency. Perhaps a click stop on the bottom dial would be one way of remediating this issue - turn one click and press the back button to get the light to come on. Turn two clicks and the light will stay on - and so forth. It would also be nice to have a rechargeable option with batteries. Other than that, the item is well made and "feels" like high quality. While it is sufficiently bright, for the price, it could be brighter than 320 lumens. It did not come with a "sheath" that could be used on a belt. That would have been a nice feature. Other than that, it is a great little flashlight that could blind someone breaking into your home or an opponent in a tactical situation that would provide a life-saving advantage. Worth the money.Read full review

Bought two to upgrade to led. Wife and I both work corrections and this light is great for cell searches, med checks, and any other use you can think of. Range time in low light or darkness the light is easy to manipulate, and store when using the surefire or black hawk holder. Great upgrade from 6P we carried for years. You can't go wrong with surefire.

I installed these in a few Surefire G2's, just take the spring off and they will drop right in. One of them has survived a few drops with no ill effects. The light is bright! The beam seems smaller or more focused than the standard Surefire P60 lamp that came in the flashlight but I have no complaints about it. This LED module extends that battery life quite a bit, but I'm not sure how much; I would guess at least 2X or more than that standard 1 hour run time of the stock G2.
